We have been entertained by videos and various internet phenomena on YouTube since 2005. Since 2010, music videos have surpassed viral videos in popularity, though the former were initially more in demand. Adele’s “Hello” is currently number one on the list of videos that have received over a billion views the quickest, having done so in an amazing 87 days.
It is still not one of the top 10 most popular videos, though. In the following ranking of the ten most-clicked YouTube videos (as of February 2024), we reveal what they are:
10th place: Мiroschka ТV – “Learning Colors – Colourful Eggs on a Farm”

A children’s educational video from the Russian channel Miroshka TV, which teaches the various colors in Russian, comes in at number ten. The video features a number of animated, gradually colored eggs on a farm. Since 2018, the video has received over 5 billion clicks.
9th place: Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars – “Uptown Funk”

Bruno Mars and music producer Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” music video comes in at number nine. With the song, Ronson won the British Single of the Year award at the 2015 Brit Awards. Fun fact: Despite the song’s non-release at the time, Fleur East sang it during the semi-final of The X Factor’s 11th season (end of 2014).
8th place: ChuChu TV – “Phonics Song with TWO Words – A For Apple”

Ten years after it was first released, this English-language children’s alphabet song video has received over 5.7 billion views.
7th place: ChuChu TV – “Wheels on the Bus”

- Views: 5.98 billion
The children’s song “Wheels on the Bus,” which was released four years after the Phonics song, is ranked seventh once again by ChuChu TV, a children’s channel. The song effectively captures the sounds and actions that one can experience during a bus ride. To date, it has garnered over 5.8 billion views.
6th place: Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth – “See You Again”

In addition to serving as the title track for the 2015 movie Fast & Furious 7, “See You Again” is also a tribute to actor Paul Walker, who passed away in a shooting-related accident. The song received several accolades, including the Hollywood Film Award.
5th place: Ed Sheeran – “Shape of You”

Fifth place goes to Ed Sheeran’s smash hit song, “Shape of You,” which is also his most successful to date. Over 3.7 billion Spotify plays and 6.2 billion YouTube views have been made of the song thus far. The song was originally written by Sheeran for another musician, but his record company persuaded him to record it themselves.
4th place: Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes – “Bath Song”

The “Bath Song,” a 3D animation or, more accurately, an English nursery rhyme about the little boy Cody’s bathing experience, appears right before the winner’s podium. The entertaining melody is a hit; since 2018, the video has been viewed over 6.6 billion times.
3rd place: LooLoo Kids – “Johny Johny Yes Papa”

The English children’s music video “Johny Johny Yes Papa” comes in third place. It was created with learning and education in mind, much like the bathing song (4th place). Johny, the toddler, tries to grab a sugar bowl in it, but his father catches him every time. Since 2016, more than 6.8 billion times have been clicked on the video.
2nd place: Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee – “Despacito”

It should come as no surprise that the song “Despacito” by rapper Daddy Yankee and singer Luis Fonsi is among the most watched videos of the YouTube age. “Despacito,” despite its winter release, is regarded as the ultimate summer hit and one of the music industry’s greatest worldwide successes. The song actually held the title of most-clicked YouTube video for over three years, but it is currently only in second place with “only” 8.38 billion views.
1st place: Pinkfong! Kids’ Songs & Stories – “Baby Shark Dance”

- Views: 14.27 billion
In November 2020, the hit children’s dance video “Baby Shark” took the place of “Despacito.” Actually, this is an American folk and children’s song, but the popular rendition was only released in 2016. With more than 10 billion views, “Baby Shark” set a new record on YouTube at the start of 2022. This is, officially, the YouTube video that has received the most clicks ever.
