Prior to beginning Cybertruck deliveries in November 2023, Tesla touted the base model’s low price of $39,000.
However, Tesla announced a new price for this version at the time the first cars were delivered to customers: $60,990.
However, the automaker stopped accepting orders for the base model of its futuristic pickup over the weekend. As a result, the mid-tier dual-motor AWD Cybertruck, which is currently the least expensive model available and has an estimated 318-mile range, now costs $99,990, an increase of $20,000.
The top-of-the-line tri-motor Cyberbeast, which has a 301-mile range, now costs $119,990 instead of $99,990, a $20,000 price increase.
Customers will be pleased to hear that those who order the mid-tier Cybertruck now should anticipate receiving it this month. The premium tri-motor Cyberbeast, meanwhile, will go on sale in October. The base model, which was previously ordered for $60,990, should arrive sometime in 2019.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, declared in the fall of last year that the Cybertruck had received a million orders.
When Tesla’s Cybertruck began to be delivered to customers at the end of the previous year, there have been a number of problems. One of the issues they mentioned was a problem with the windshield wiper motor that occasionally led to the big single wiper breaking down. This is not the kind of accident you want to happen when you are driving in a lot of rain. There was also an issue with the accelerator pedal cover on the car, which had the potential to come off and become stuck, resulting in unintentional and possibly hazardous acceleration. Additionally, it was discovered that a section of plastic trim around the truck’s bed edge was loose and could fly off, endangering other drivers who might be following closely.
All of the issues have since been fixed in recalls.
