Every month, users of streaming services can watch thousands of films. Prominent streaming services include Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Max. These services do, however, have monthly costs. It will cost you a lot of money to subscribe to all four services. Try YouTube, which provides free movies with commercials, if you are looking for other streaming options.
The vast library of Netflix, Paramount+, or Disney+ is not present on YouTube. On the other hand, a wide variety of films in genres such as drama, comedy, action, adventure, thriller, and horror can be found on YouTube. Some of these movies are even regarded as timeless classics. We have put together a list of the top free YouTube movies this month to help you make your decision.
Tropic Thunder (2008)
Forget Iron Man. Tropic Thunder is Robert Downey Jr.’s best role of 2008. A group of conceited actors, such as the drug-addled Jeff Portnoy (Jack Black), the washed-up Tugg Speedman (Ben Stiller), and the extremely serious method actor Kirk Lazarus (Downey), are assembled to star in a Vietnam War movie.
Steve Coogan plays director Damien Cockburn, who abandons the actors in the jungle with the intention of recording their performances with covert cameras. The actors are unaware that Damien accidentally ends his own life. The actors come across a real drug-dealing gang that engages in violent crimes, which exacerbates the situation. Can these actors make use of their meager skills to get out of the jungle and into safety?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Would you delete your memories of a past romantic partner? This is made possible in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind by a process. When Jim Carrey’s character Joel Barish finds out that his ex-girlfriend Clementine Kruczynski (Kate Winslet) is having surgery to erase him from her memory, he is devastated. Depressed, Joel decides to do the same.
Joel remembers how much he used to love Clementine as he dreams about her while he is having the surgery. Joel struggles to maintain Clementine’s spirit as his memories gradually fade. The film is a stunning and heartbreaking depiction of love, grief, and the decision to move on.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)
Charlie, portrayed by Logan Lerman, is a kind but reserved teenager who is ready to take on his greatest challenge to date: high school. With the intention of slipping past high school undetected, Charlie is fortunate to befriend two gregarious seniors, the gregarious Sam (Emma Watson) and her disobedient stepbrother Patrick (Ezra Miller).
Charlie emerges from his shell after meeting Sam and Patrick and learning that life is more than just reading books and watching other people play the field. However, Charlie has post-traumatic stress disorder, and as the school year draws to a close, his condition only gets worse. Charlie needs to learn how to forgive himself before he can help others.
Point Break (1991)
In Kathryn Bigelow’s superb action thriller, Point Break, Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze face off. In order to apprehend a gang of bank robbers known as the “Ex-Presidents,” hotshot FBI agent Johnny Utah (Reeves), a former college quarterback, teams up with seasoned agent Angelo Pappas (Gary Busey). After speculating that the robbers might be surfers, Utah goes undercover in the beach community to gather more evidence.
Utah meets the eccentric leader of a group of surfers, Bodhi (Swayze), while he is posing as a surfer. Utah forms a sincere friendship with the carefree Bodhi as he spends more time with the surfers. But this makes Utah’s mission more difficult by making it harder to distinguish between his work and his new friends.
I Kill Giants (2018)
In this fantasy film, Madison Wolfe plays Barbara Thorson, a young child who escapes into a magical world where she becomes the greatest giant fighter the world has ever seen in order to find comfort from the harsh realities of her challenging family life. Barbara, however, seeks assistance from her school counselor, Mrs. Mollé (Zoe Saldana from Avatar: The Way of Water), and her new friend Sophia (Sydney Wade) as the giants’ threat to her world intensifies.
My Friend Dahmer (2017)
By obtaining the rights to stream My Friend Dahmer, someone at YouTube has very shrewdly recognized the resurgence of interest in Jeffrey Dahmer. Inspired by the true story of cartoonist John “Derf” Backderf (Alex Wolff), the closest friend Jeffrey Dahmer (Ross Lynch) had in high school, this serial killer film tells the story of the real serial killer. He and the other misfits in this adaptation of Backderf’s graphic novel become friends with Dahmer, but they remain aware of his strange actions. Still, they had no idea that the awkward young man they knew would grow up to become one of the twentieth century’s most notorious serial killers. It’s also a tragic tale, as no one notices how monstrous Dahmer has become until it’s far too late to stop him.
The Illusionist (2006)
Though Christopher Nolan’s film is better than the other, The Illusionist was released in theaters approximately two months before the similarly themed film, The Prestige. In any case, the central trio of Edward Norton, Jessica Biel, and Paul Giamatti is a big part of what makes The Illusionist appealing. Duchess Sophie Von Teschen (Biel) and Eduard Abramovich (Norton) had a childhood passion for one another that her parents forbade. As an adult, Edward assumed the identity of Eisenheim The Illusionist and reconciled with Sophie prior to her union with the cunning Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell). Chief Inspector Walter Uhl (Giamatti), disturbed by Eisenheim’s seemingly uncontrollable ability to call upon Sophie’s spirit, is uneasy after Sophie is killed.
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
George A. Romero’s iconic horror film, a landmark work in American horror cinema, centers on seven individuals who become imprisoned in Pennsylvania while the horrifying Walking Dead encircle them. They have to struggle to live without realizing the danger that waits outside.
The film is credited as being the first zombie movie, and it influenced everything from Shaun of the Dead to 28 Days Later. Romero became an overnight sensation after his debut, which he wrote, directed, edited, and starred in. With a meager $114,000 budget, the film revolutionized the genre.
